«Kunstbetrieb» is located in the former rolling mill of Alu Münchenstein 10 minutes from Basel.Here Kunstbetrieb has rented two production sheds and storage. The larger hall is used for the foundry and working in concrete and metal. This is also where our subtenant, glass-blower Matteo Gonet has installed his workshop. The hall measures 1200 m2 and is up to 10 m high. A crane lifting up to 10 tons and a large door (4.25 x 4.25 m) facilitate transports.
The smaller of the two halls measures 333 m2, with a height between 5.4 and 7.9 m. It also is directly accessible by vehicle through a door of 4.25 x 6.00 m and has a floor of unlimited weight-bearing capacity. The crane can lift 2.5 tons. Here we mainly build models and work in wax and plastics.
A third hall provides 50m2 of climate-controlled storage, many pallet frames and a kitchen for the team.
